Plastic plugs are also known as Re-Plugs. They are removable for inspection and maintenance. They come in black, beige or bright yellow for easy dentification in places like bridges, marinas or docks. While they are threaded, they can be tapped in with a hammer, but you need a special tool to remove them. The tool is about $7.00. Plastic plugs should be used whenever Bor8 Rods / Impel Rods are installed in ground contact where they will need to be replaced every 5 - 10 years.
