We do not recommend TWP® 500 Series be applied to brand new decks or smooth (sanded) T&G siding because all of it may not penetrate and could leave free oil on the surface. Rough siding or unsanded smooth siding will be fine. . .

TWP® 500 SERIES-For preserving all exterior wood, siding, shingles, logs, timbers and fences. Whether the wood is new or old this is a great preservative. Easy to apply and more importantly, easy to maintain, you cannot go wrong with this product. It is a great product for any wood installed vertically like siding or logs, for decks after they have had about a year to weather.
SPREAD RATE: Apply at 100 - 300 square feet per gallon. Rate will vary depending on wood porosity. First coat should be a saturation coat. A second coat if desired must be applied immediately after the first coat, in a wet on wet application.
METHOD OF APPLICATION: Use brush, roll or spray. Do not apply below 32 degrees.
Coverage - rates for TWP® 500 are approximately 200 square feet per-gallon for the first coat and about 350 feet per gallon for the second coat. It is available in Clear, Cedartone, Oak and California Redwood. TWP® is a registered trademark of Amteco, Inc.
CLEANUP:
Use mineral spirits for equipment. MIX THOROUGHLY BEFORE USING. TINTS AND FUNGICIDES TEND TO SETTLE TO THE BOTTOM SO RE-MIX EVERY HOUR OR SO DURING APPLICATION.
